It is indescribably old, has seen empires rise and fall in what amounts to a blink of an eye in it's conscience. Mortals and their quarrels are therefore usually insignificant for it. However, every once in a while, it answers to cries of a mortal in plight, much like a human might move a pebble from the path of an ant. All it asks for, is loyalty and obedience if given a task.
