Mithrendain is a large metropolis in the eastern run-outs of the grey forest. It inhabits about 20'000 citizens and a varying population of about 3'000 merchants, craftsmen and other travelers. The city is situated next to lake '''c'al'am'thru''', the five splinters still fight over how to pronounce it correctly, but most people in the city just call it '''Lake Zam'''.

The city consists of four districts that are built on top of each other, making it look more like a fortress than a city from afar. The cities political independence and excellent relations to neighboring nations make it an attractive location for traders but also criminals and exiles. The 4 layers were not designed but grew organically over centuries.
