Depiction of how the council's whereabouts may look like.

The Great Council of Krunkad is a group of Garlar, whose research is said to be more advanced than many others. Experts estimate the Council to be founded even before the Cataclysm, somewhere around Lisledom by Krunkad himself. The rest of the members all became Liches with the help of Krunkad, having to swear their allegiance to Krunkad and his research before being allowed to start the procedure. The Council likes to celebrate their successes, which happens rarely in human time, because of the duration of their experiments, which have gotten more complicated and expensive in resources and time. These celebrations consist of the destruction of someone’s lifeline.

List of alleged massacres

26. February 574 Whole village disappeared on Darnach Islet
11. July 861 Massacre of Brentlants Landing
04. August 1193 Dwarven Relocation
29. September 1435 Garlars Day in Adwick

Aftermath

Some say that the massacres by the Garlar are carried out long term, to make sure nobody survives. They can trace relatives of their victims for longer than they live, yet to kill them all separately they ironically do not have enough time. The only moment they feel to intervene is when offspring is due. It was not possible to prove this theory until this day, but it still is the most agreed upon.

Controversies

No proof by any scholar or nobleman exists, because the Garlar choose small locations not within direct reach of any military infrastructure. Many claim the government made up the Garlar, to cover up politically motivated crimes, such as in the much controversial Dwarven Relocation. A whole village of dwarves was forced to move to another place because of border disagreements. The next week it was found overrun by unknown forces.

A similar example is Adwick, which was a village at a strategic important location. After the massacre on Garlars Day, the village was conveniently taken over by the Empire.
