The dwarfs have a complex roman style political system. Their whole life revolves around it. But since their vast empire stretches almost across the whole continent the class division is great.

In theory every dwarf can participate, but the expenses that come with political offices and voting are just too much for most dwarfs. The mines run deep and most of the time the miners get the information for the elections after they took place.
