The province of Dostrait is one of the northern provinces of the Dwarven Republic. It is bordered by the sea in the north and east, the river Bland creates a natural and secure border to the west. The south border is marked by the Direwoods and the growing hills the dwarves inhabit. Its trade is agriculture and forestry from the Direwoods.
Inhabitants
Not many people live there, most cities have more inhabitants than the whole of Dostrait. The people are mostly poor but hard working and fierce. They are usually tall grown have a dark tan, from the continuous work in the fields. They have built 3 villages Marymar, Direwards and Eastbreak.
All of the processing of wheat is done in the massive De Molen Mill, which is located in the centre of all three villages.
History
As the history is only passed orally little is known of the beginnings. Most men just say they were here since the beginning of time itself.
It is another story with the resent history. Dostrait used to be a little fisher village and trading hub for most of the trade between the Draconians and Dwarves. But in 1486 the dwarves annexed the province by sending a legion down and claiming the territory as theirs.
