Carving on a house near the marketplace

Direwards houses around 100 people, all of them live in wooden huts. Each of the hut has beautiful wood carvings in it. These carvings tell stories of heroes or gods, as well as the history of the family that inhabits the house. These carvings grow in size and detail the further one goes to the central marketplace.

The Central Marketplace

The marketplace is where all the people meet and socialize. This is also where the Mayors Hut, the Tavern and the Temple as well as the village granary.

Mayors Hut

It is a grand hut with many detailed cravings telling the history of the village itself. From its foundings to the current time. It tells the stories of heroes and famine, from live and death.

Tavern

The tavern has a tall gable, on which an old weathered sign hangs from. The sign seems to hang there for years now without being taken care of. The craving tell stories of festivities and joy, of feasts and drinking, as well as brawls and of times when the villagers took up arms against the ruling class.

Temple

Seemingly the oldest of the buildings it has very dark wood. To see the cravings one must stand very close to the building, as they almost seem burned off. Stepping closer to the build one makes out the creation of the world, starting with the Primodials and the creation of the world by Ao and the creation of the gods. Their war and the defeat of the Primodials by the gods.

Surrounding the temple stand statues of many different gods. Most prominent are Eldath, Malar and Mielikki.
